To be honest, I decided to take this class mainly to continue/finish my elementary Japanese journey. I originally took this course because I was interested in Japanese novels. Japanese media— movies, TV-shows, anime and manga— has always been a big part of childhood because my sister was always a fan and so, she'll make me watch/read things with her. And so, I thought: "Hey! Might as well learn a little more about this language and culture— obviously, I doubt I'll be fluent enough to read a novel with no issues, but it would be nice to understand some Japanese puns/jokes :)"

Currently, I'm a little conflicted on whether or not I would continue to explore Japanese after this class— not because I don't enjoy it— but because I do wish to study abroad, specifically in Italy. There's a language requirement for some of those programs so I'm stuck on whether I should take Italian next semester or if I should just stick with Japanese (and maybe declare an East Asian minor because I do have a lot of credits right now...🤔
